Always up-to-date

Viadesk ensures that you are always up-to-date. Every day you receive an email informing you about any changes. Your «Home» page in Viadesk also lists all the latest changes and questions that you put to others or others put to you. This page is also the ideal place for information and news that is interesting to all members of the community.

Who is who / Members

«Home» lists all members of the community. Their pictures are displayed so you can see not only who is who but also read about a person’s background in his or her personal profile. There is a good chance that you never met/meet these persons face-to-face. This set-up still allows you to get a picture of the person at the ‘other side of the line’ and find out how you can be of use to one another.

Ask experts

People are linked to topics. This creates a map of people with specific knowledge areas. Not only does this provide insight in where specific knowledge is available within your organisation, network or community, it also allows you to direct your question on a specific topic to the right people.

Abc

The Abc automatically arranges information and people by topics and tags. Each topic and tag has its own page, on which all items linked to the concept are displayed. This provides you with an organic blueprint of the information available within Viadesk. The Abc takes professionals to interesting information in a more intuitive manner than using search or via the traditional road of filing in folders. The Abc helps opening up important knowledge that is available within the community. Via the Abc professionals can also contribute to the creation of a dynamic list of concepts in which important definitions and concepts are described. Because of the use of wikis to describe the concepts, everyone can contribute actively to the creation of a common reference frame.

You often know that the information you want must be available somewhere. But, more often, finding out where and how to find it is a bigger problem. Searching in Viadesk will help you with this. If you cannot find the information in the expected folder via the list of topics in the Abc, you can use the «Search» function. «Search» searches IN documents. Various advanced options help you refine your search command.
