Pioneering will be part of your daily job as a Java Software Engineer at Viadesk. You will be at the frontline of web development every day, and work with the latest technologies. To give you an example: In terms of web time, to us Web 2.0 has been everyday fare for ages already. And to lift a tip of the veil: we are presently already working on ‘the next big thing’.

(Further) development of our web software
Developing new products and features in the fields of Social Networking, Online Collaboration and Professional Communities
Developing tailor-made solutions for customers (based on our standard product)
Researching the applicability of new web technologies
Project management of smaller projects

Do you recognize yourself in this profile?

Graduated at HBO level (Higher Vocational), preferably in a technical field
A minimum of 3 years experience in developing web applications
A minimum of 2 years job experience working with Java, particularly with Servlets, JDBC, XML, MVC and Apache components. Experience with Hibernate, Wicket, Spring, Lucene will give you an advantage.
Pragmatic, result-oriented attitude
Excellent communication and human relations skills
A professional, customer-oriented, passionate and positive work attitude
A passion for software development and technology (experience with the development of commercial software is an advantage)
Must be fluent in English and (willing to) understand a little Dutch.
