New in Viadesk
At Viadesk we are making improvements to Viadesk every day. The latest changes are available from the beginning of June.
Restructure information in groups
Restructuring information is now really easy because it is possible to move information from one group to another. This can come in handy for example when a group contains too much information; from now on you can easily divide the information between groups. When moving an item to another group, old versions, responses and metadata of documents will also be moved. However, please bear in mind that not all information can be moved such as permissions and related items. These may need to be redefined within the new group.
Prevent information overload
From now on it's possible to adjust notifications to your needs. This makes it possible to limit updates to the groups that are most relevant to you. Being a member of multiple active groups can easily lead to information overload, causing the most relevant information to be overlooked. From now on it's possible to set (under Account > Preferences) for each group whether you want to see the changes in your daily email report and in Home's Recent changes.
Candidate users can register for groups
The feature Candidate users offers potential members to register for your Viadesk environment. After acceptance by the webmaster, the user will receive an email with login details. We have added a new feature allowing the candidate to select in the registration form the groups they wish to join. The webmaster can choose to send the requests for memberships to group managers.
Other changes in Viadesk:
- Sort folder content: When you change the sorting of folder content, it is now possible to save it as the default sorting for this folder. For example, by sorting chronologically, members always see the latest changes first.
- Design to your taste: It is now possible to add one logo on the left side, as well as one on the right side in your banner.
- Saving Email: In response to popular requests, emails will no longer be saved by default, so emails will only be saved now if the sender chooses to do so. The option to save emails may be selected when the email is relevant to the group and ignored when it is a private email or a notification only.
